3 Things I Did to Overcome Limiting Beliefs

Welcome to Active by Archana!

Limiting beliefs are any negative thoughts that hold you back from growing as a person.

From the story you tell yourself, the way you speak to others and yourself to body language and defense mechanisms, learning the most common limiting beliefs can help you observe and identify them if they come up for you.

For me, I used to tell myself that I'm not good enough, I don't deserve this or sometimes I would tell myself in the privacy of my mind that I was not perfect enough and I placed alot of judgement on myself, my skills and my looks.

Usually I will go to my shamanic healer or therapist to help with this and help me with self-sabotaging actions and thoughts.

Some things that I'd like to share and you can try are the following three strategies:

1. Identify and Challenge Yourself and Your Beliefs

Take some time to identify the specific limiting beliefs that are holding you back. Once you've identified them, challenge them by asking yourself questions like:

"Is this belief based on fact or assumption?"

"What evidence do I have to support or refute this belief?"

"How is this belief impacting my actions and decisions?"

By questioning and challenging your limiting beliefs, you can begin to weaken their hold on you.

2. Change Your Inner Dialogue

Pay attention to the way you talk to yourself and the language you use internally. Replace negative self-talk with more positive and empowering statements.

For example, instead of saying "I'm not good enough," reframe it as "I am capable and deserving of success."

By consciously changing your inner dialogue, you can gradually shift your mindset and overcome limiting beliefs.

3. Take Action and Build Confidence

Take small, incremental steps towards your goals, even if they feel uncomfortable or challenging at first.

Each small success will help to build your confidence and demonstrate to yourself that you are capable of overcoming obstacles.

Celebrate your progress along the way and use it as motivation to keep moving forward.

As you take action and build confidence, you'll be better equipped to overcome limiting beliefs and achieve your full potential.

Hope my experiences will help you in your journey xx
